I have 2 monitors for my PC and need dual monitor support. Does the android app support dual monitors? I understand the iPad app does.

Is there an ETA on this?  The app isn't a whole lot of use to me as-is (my taskbar is on my secondary monitor), and changing display modes is a pain.

Nothing more to say, except that I'm also waiting for this kind of support (multiple screen management on Mac OS X 10.6) on the Android HD App. Thanks a lot and great work!

Have gotten Xoom and love the concept for my home PC but at work we have more than two monitors at each terminal and could really use a button to switch from each monitor. Have to use splash  to my home PC then logmein from home to either work terminal we are wanting to use.....please add multi-monitor function forus Android and/or Xoom users   :-D

Use Toshiba Thrive. Love Splashtop but need dual monitor support please. If it can be done on iPad, surely it can happen on Android!

Only offers two monitor support.
A good start, but more needs to be done to allow multiple monitor support.

Dual monitors are multiple monitors, and users of >2 monitors are so rare I'm sure it's a negligeable concern.

Well thanks Andrew it's nice to know that people with 3 monitors like me are so rare as to be inconsequential  :/

All said and done, working in IT for the last decade, I've handled a handful of 3+ monitor deployments, ignoring mirrored configurations for presentations.  Interms of percentage...so far under a percent as to be negligeable.  I don't know exactly; 5-10 out of maybe 12k?

Nothing personal, but if they can satisty 99% of potential clients with dual-monitor support, that's a good development decision.

Can somebody explain how the "three-finger tap" works? Seems obvious but either I'm doing the wrong thing or it doesn't work on my device. I'm using an Asus Transformer running Honeycomb 3.2.1. Thanks!

Slow support, very slow, taken my business to iDisplay, it works, is simple, was simple to program, sorry but R&D there is surely not up to the task.  No this is not a troll, I have been waiting for this for 4 months now...

I have switched as well, like the splashtop for the streaming music across my tablet, as far as movies, it was way too choppy, even over the T1 we have.

JumpDesktop suited the needs of what i needed for business reasons perfectly and is priced just right!

@Jesse,

Please make sure you have installed Splashtop Remote Desktop HD for Android v1.9.7.9 or above on your Android tablet, then tap 3 fingers to open a Control bar can help you to switch display monitor on tablet.

@Kevin,

Video streaming performance depends on computer CPU and available bandwidth, if they are good in your case, please also check this link for more hints about software configurations on computer side.

I finally figured out the 3-finger tap.  It is literally what it says, just use 3 fingers to tap the screen.  No drag or swipe.  Just tap using 3 fingers.  Took me forever on my Transformer to figure that out.  HTH

I got it working after @Jaff (thanks Jaff!) reminded me of the version required- turned out I was using the version that came free with the Transformer embedded in MyCloud instead of the stand-alone HD app for tablets.  I upgraded ($3.99) and the three-finger tap and lots of other functionality and display quality was enabled immediately.  WELL worth the upgrade!  Great program.

I am still having issues with this.  I have Splashtop on my Kindle Fire.  I bought this instead of Splashtop HD because it was sold as being optimized for the KF.  Unfortunately, the KF does not support a 3-finger tap.  I am running Splashtop Remote version 1.6.0.6 r14305 which is what I downloaded yesterday from the Amazon App store.

1. Does this support dual monitor?  If so, how do I get to the second monitor?  If not, what product should I have purchased that will support dual monitor on the KF?

2. I'm running Windows 7 on my computer.  In order to move a window from the second monitor to the primary monitor I can use the keyboard combination "Windows Key+Shift+Right Arrow".  However, this seems to be an impossible combination of keys to hit in splashtop.  I can do Windows Key + Shift but the arrow keys are on a different screen.  Is there a way to enter this?

It seems I am out of luck.  I cannot view the second monitor nor can I move windows from the second monitor to the primary monitor with the keyboard.

Is there a solution for me?

Thanks.

I don't know about #1, sounds like a KF and/or Splashtop limitation.  The 3-finger tap works well for the HD version on my tablet.  As far as #2, can you activate the app on the other monitor via Alt-Tab then use Alt-Space to bring up the window dialog then pick Move and use the arrow keys to move it on screen?  I'm not quite sure what you mean by "the arrow keys are on a different screen".  That's what I use for similar situations.  Not "convenient" but works in a pinch.

@Gary,

We had supported the "Dual monitor" featurer for KF. For KF doesn't support 3-finger tap, you need to press "Menu"button to  call out the control bar. Then you can see the button for dual monitor.

My bad.  Thank you saryyin.  I did not know how to find that menu but now that I have found it everything works great for me.  I appreciate the quick and helpful response.

Buying from Android Market and having only 15 minutes to review a product or forfeit a refund really sucks.  I did purchase Splashtop Remote HD and after a very quick test, did not find a way to access more than one of my three monitors so had to uninstall.  After reading the above comments, it appears that the three-finger tap might work to access two of them but I'll have to pass on this and use LogMeIn from my laptop that does access all of my monitors.

There was an estimate above that said maybe 5-10 out of 12k had more than two monitors.  Based on the number of "complaints" that this only works on two, I'd say that estimate is off a bit.

I hope the more than two monitors issue gets fixed for this product.  Looks like it has promise.

Sadly, I have both this Splashtop HD, which I believe is superior in speed to any other app out there, but I don't use it.

I have to use a competing product that presents all monitors in a consolidated window at startup (with pinch option to make larger), which is way easier to manage and more intuitive then 3 fingering, etc.

My hope and dream is that Splashtop HD will drop this "gesture" concept and go with the industry standard used in most mobile phones in 2012. Show all monitors in one screen with option to make larger or sweep to move to different monitors (like all the competing products do <hint>).

OK, as an old guy who just got an Asus transformer (which I LOVE) and just downloaded splashtop, someone please tell me what the "3 finger tap" is, and whether or not there is a way so see the second monitor on my desk from a remote location. Slashtop is SO much easier and faster than LogMeIn, but I need access to both displays.

 HELP!

Just touch the screen with 3 fingertips at the same time.  I use my pointer, middle, and ring finger but I suppose any 3 would work.  It isn't elegant and certainly isn't as easy as a swipe to the side or something, but it should bring up a little 1<->2 icon that you can press to switch to the other monitor.

I have an Asus Transformer Prime and a Windows XP 32 bit machine running 2 monitors.  I am unable to switch monitors.  I can do the 3 finger tap on my tablet and bring up the switch in the control bar on the bottom of my screen.  However, when I tap the 1<->2 button on my tablet the bar disappears and nothing happens.

Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Following on from above, I am using the version that comes bundled with the Asus Transformer Prime (MyCloud) and have updated to ICS.

Hi all,

The issue "can't switch monitor over Internet connection" bundled on Transformer will be fixed in next version, however, it needs Asus' udpate from its website. Please check and wait for Asus' next update.

"Dual monitors are multiple monitors, and users of >2 monitors are so rare I'm sure it's a negligeable concern." says Andrew Lannon

 Really dude? You obviously haven't been actually READING this thread because there are a ton of people who use more than 2 monitors.  Also learn to spell negligible.

If you coded it to cycle to the next monitor in line as opposed to swapping back and forth it should be trivial to implement support for any number of monitors.

Host/Streamer: Windows 7, 64bit, streamer ver 1.7.5.6
Client: Android, firmware 2.2, Splashtop client ver 1.6.5.6

I have 3 monitors on the streamer.  When connected, the Android client (Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000) connects to monitor 1.  I can use the Settings key to bring up the menu and then the 1/2 button to switch monitors.  initially, it switches to monitor 3.  Next to monitor 2.  Then just back and for between monitors 2 and 3.  It would be nice if it cycled between all three or gave an option which one to connect to.
