@ Wang,
Could you offer us more detail information?
Q&A- Windows client is for pc to pc remote control. I am not sure if your problem is about pc to pc.
Or If you use ipad or android device, please go to Q&A - iPad/iPhone/iTouch or Q&A - android device.
Thanks
Hi, Sharon.
My problem is using my office PC to remote control my private PC at home.
My office PC is in a LAN that connects to the Internet via a proxy.
I find I cannot logon my Google account in Splashtop Remote Client..
So I think I need to find somewhere in the client to fill with my proxy settings but I can't.
Wish you could help.
Thanks.
@ Wang,
What kind of proxy do you use. Could you provide a proxy setting capture for us to figure out? Thanks!
Hi, Sharon,
as attached is my proxy settings in Internet Exporer
@ Wang,
You need contact your IT department to open port 522. Thanks!
Is it possible to configure the Windows client to not require port 522 to be opened, and go through either port 80 or port 443 instead? I'm in a work environment where opening up additional ports is not an option. Everything here must go through through an authenticating HTTP proxy which uses only those two ports.
Make that one person who works in a company who will NOT change their ports. Proxy support definitely needed. I don't want to use any competitor names but there's one out there that works perfectly fine but I picked up the TouchPad remote desktop and was hoping to use it.
Agreed. Heavily restricted open ports and proxy servers to control access are a fact of life in corporate America for reasons of network security. Unless a program supports going through proxy servers (authenticated or unauthenticated HTTP(S), SOCKS 4, SOCKS 5, etc.) to reach the Internet, potential customers who operate in such a network environment aren't even going to consider it.
Period.
Please adjust the proxy issue!!
Could you please add a proxy support? Are you guys working on that?
It would be great to have this capability as me too cannot access my home laptop from work. Dropbox for instance has a screen under settings (screenshot attached) that allows for this setup so you can either by-pass the proxy or log-in using your LAN credentials. Although different applications, fundamentally they are the same as they connect to a remote server to upload and download information. Are you guys working on this?
People behind Splashtop, the app is wonderful. But why do you avoid any question about supporting Proxy? A lot of people buy your app and want proxy support, but you don't even answer the requests about this? It's a shame.
Another one here who cannot login into Google due to a work proxy, as with the others there is no chance of getting the ports opened on the network.

May be proxycap or similar app can solve the problem

Cannot get through our corp proxy which uses port 8080. Firefox works OK and so does log****in. Any way to fix the proxy issue?
No response from Splashtop but I guess the good thing is hopefully soon it will be a moot point as we'll be able to install Android on our TouchPads and can use a different app.
Without proxy support I'll be forced to use a competitor product.

I need the proxy setting for streamer.
need proxy access for the client as well! teamviewer does this and RDM+. Give us a roadmap please.
most of use have jobs and are behind corporate security policies!
yeah I agree WE NEED PROXY!
Is any proxy issue here?
Has this been implemented yet?
@PJ,
Proxy has been supported in Win streamer v2.x. For win client, it still leverages the proxy settings in Windows.
This link gives more info about proxy support in Splashtop v2.
