We just confirmed internally again, it works fine. Could you check the side switch on ipad if it's been muted(#2 in below link)? please check this link for more detailed info:

I have it set to lock orientation. I am streaming from Windows 7. I got the update to the app, but not any update to the client running on the PC. It seems it is the latest version. I have it on two machines and, up until the update, both worked flawlessly. I have removed and reinstalled the app on my itouch. Do I need the mute option on the splashtop PC enabled on the settings tab?  I note that that sets the speaker icon to mute. If I unmute it or clear the setting, I get the audio on the pc, but still not to the app on my ipad. I am sure it is some setting somewhere and I truly miss getting this awesome app to work.

BTW< is there a way to exit the connection from the ipad without just hitting the home button and killing the app?  A nice feature request would be to remember which monitor you would like the app to replicate. I am constantly having to select the second one.

If you set side switch to lock rotation, could you check the sound speaker on ipad if it's muted?

steps:

1.double click Home buttom on ipad

2.a bar pops up at bottom, swipe from left to right on the bar to switch to be an ipod control bar

3.check the sound button and unmute it if it's on muted state

For your second question:

Our next update will implement a new feature to allow user to disconnect without hitting home button and back to computer list. Please stay tuned.

The ipad is set to rotate lock and it is unmuted. Triple checked it and even had it play some music. Just to check I also turned the switch completely off and double checked if the audio was muted. When I connected, still no audio.

If your ipad can play and hear music, the problem should be on the streamer. Please try this old Streamer v1.5.0.1 : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/38993533/Win_Streamer_v1.5.0.1.zip

Hi Doug,

Have you tried v1.5.0.1?

We just release a new Windows Streamer v1.6.0.1, you can have a try too.

It would be much appreciated if you can help us to try these two versions.

Okay. turns out that even if you have the ipad slider set to lock orentation, it still mutes the splashtop audio. Even though I put it to lock the orientation, it still mutes the ipad in this app, even though it plays all other sound. So I guess when I need audio, I just leave the slider unlocked. Not sure if this is an IOS problem or an app issue. I am thinking it is probably reading the status of the slider and, regardless of settings, mutes the audio.

Thanks to the splashtop team for all the time and effort they put into this. I love the app and now, with audio, it is truly incredible.

Thanks again,

Doug
