On my touchpad I already added my computer but I can't seem to get past the security code part. I have changed my password numerous times but I still can't seem to connect fully.

I got it fixed I restarted my computer a few times and also read about the uppercase password issue so I changed the password to uppercase seemed to work. I am now connected.

I can't get past the security code either. I've tried turning off my firewall, changed password to uppercase and restarted my computer but just get the enter security code box. Frustrating. Anyone have any other ideas? So far this app has been a waste of money.

I had the same issue when I first installed it. Just kept me on the security code screen, i restarted the HP touchpad and it was fine after that.

I had the identical problem and fixed it as follows:
1. After installing Splashtop Streamer on laptop, opened Security and entered new password in ALL CAPS...letters and numbers, at least one of each.
2. Opened Streamer app on HP TouchPad and entered same password.
3. Connected with no problems!

I have Splashtop Remote running on my TouchPad, have discovered two of my pc's ,and am having Security Code error messages. Do I have to also load Streamer on my Touch Pad and enter a security code?

This is so FRUSTRATING.. I have resintalled the software on my PC 5 times. Never once does the HP Touchpad find my network or the drive. I enter the info manually and Still it says the security code is incorrect. I tried it in ALL UPPER Case, Lower CASE, Mixed
NOTHING works, so far this is the worse 4.99 I have spent in 6 days of owning the Touchpad.

How do I get my money back. I have now spect more than 3 hrs trying to get past the "Enter Security Code" screen. Upper case reboots etc. Does not work

Hi all,
We just released Splashtop Remote Desktop HD for HP TouchPad v1.0.5 and fixed some issues you may concern, please update and try again. This is the release note:
I've been having this problem since the v1.0.5 release -- before that, everything worked fine. This is the first time I've attempted to use Splashtop to connect to a new PC that I didn't have the security code already saved on -- it will not accept anything I enter, the "OK" buttons refuse to do anything. Only "Cancel" works.

... neither The "DONE" button under "Computer Settings" nor the "OK" button in the "Enter Security Code" window work. And as I have recently reinstalled my TouchPad, all my security codes are not saved from the previous installation -- therefore, I can no longer use Splashtop.
Here I was planning on purchasing the app set on my iPad, but since it doesn't even slightly function on my TouchPad, and support has been otherwise completely useless on another PC that I was unable to get Streamer working on, I'm definitely not putting any more money into Splashtop until this is solved.
(all upper case passwords, and restarts of both TouchPad and target computers have not helped)

AHA. I think I've nailed the problem --
It only happens when Splashtop detects the system through the use of gmail. If you turn off Network Discovery on your servers, then you can restart Splashtop when you're on the LAN with them, go into the settings, save the passwords for each one, and then re-enable Network Discovery.
Please fix this, Splashtop people. Please show us your continued support of Open webOS, and I'll continue showing support by buying some more apps.
