1.  Invoke Microsoft Security Essentials.

2.  Click “Settings” to open the Settings tab.

3.Click the “Excluded processes” option, then click the “Browse...” button.

4.  When the “Microsoft Security Essentials” window opens, browse to the “C:\Program Files\Splashtop\Splashtop Remote\Server” folder.

5.  Click on the “DataProxy” item in the list, then click the “OK” button.

6.  Now, back in the “Settings” tab, “DataProxy.exe” has already been added into the “Process names” list.

7.  Click the “Add” button to add “DataProxy.exe” to the list below.  You can then click the “Save changes” button.

8.  Repeat Steps 4 through 7 to add the following application files into the “Process names” list:

Folder/Path: [C:\Program Files\Splashtop\Splashtop Remote\Server]

Application Files:

     - DataProxy.exe

     - inputserv.exe (only necessary for Splashtop Remote Touchpad)

     - spupnp.exe

     - SRFeature.exe

     - SRLogin.exe (no longer exists in ver. 2.x and later)

     - SRServer.exe
