Each time you start Splashtop Remote on your iPad, it will automatically scan your local network, and list the available computers it found. Usually, you can simply select a computer from that list.
You can also specify connection settings for a computer by hand. To do that, start by tapping the Add Computer button
in the Title Bar of the Splashtop Remote screen on your iPad. This opens the Add a Computer screen with the following options:

I had the very same problem as Yucheng...worked once, then not anymore.
HAs anyone found a solution? How do you get a hold of these people? This new version will not work with windows 7
It may be that your PC receives a different IP address every time you turn off the PC. Unfortunately, you cannot just give it your computer's name and have it find it.
if the setting is not being saved, then it sounds like poor programming... not accounting for the variables of the end user needs... Can you say LogMeIn??

Splashtop 2 needs a Splashtop account login in both ipad and Streamer, then ipad can automatically list all computers logged in with the same Spalshtop account. Please check this link for how to create a Splashtop account.

The feature to add a new profile is no longer supported by Splashtop v2.0.0.4.
