What is the most convenient way to disconnect and re-connect with iPad?

If you are currently connected remotely to a computer and want to break the connection, simply press your iPad's Home button to quickly disconnect the Splashtop Remote Streamer connection and display the iPad's Home screen.

To easily connect to a computer, tap the Splashtop icon STR_29.png in your iPad's Home screen, then tap the desired computer name in the list.  It's even faster if you have already configured its security code so that you do not have to type it in every time.

I've found an issue whereby after successfully connecting and losing the connection, Splashtop remote is unable to reconnect. It says "unable to connect to this PC due to another splashtop remote session running." How do I disconnect or otherwise reset the connection from my iPad so that I can re-establish a connection? Simply pressing the home button and re-launching the app does not work.

Im having the same problem as david above. It thinks that i still have a connection going, and wont let me either disconnect nor start a new session. No menus or anything. Dead in the water for the moment. This really need to be fixed.

This does not work. I've tested it several times and the connection does not break when you press the Home button on the iPad. I have two computers that I need to connect to. I need to know how you can break a connection so you can connect to another PC.

My mistake, it does work. My security software was blocking the connection attempt. I had to create a rule to allow it. Sorry.

having to use the home button to disconnect is inconvenient.  I often switch between multiple computers and would like to see a disconnect button added to the controls that would take you back to the list of available connections.

Is there a solution for Daves problem. I am having the same problem where it tells me a session is already running a d won't let me log into my computer from my IPad. Very frustrating

Same problem here where if the connection is lost I can't reconnect because the Splashtop Remote Streamer thinks it is still connected to my iPad. The only way to reconnect at that point is to reset the ports from the streamer, which isn't feasible if I'm not at the same physical location as the computer running the streamer. This happens to me multiple times a day (either I temporarily lose Internet or network connection, or I forget and hit the Home button in order to switch apps, NOT meaning to disconnect), so it makes Splashtop kind of unusable from a remote location until there is a fix for this.

@David, Ken, C.W.

After disconnecting and then attempting to reconnect will fail at times like you have mentioned.  This is a bug.  It should be fixed in the upcoming release.  The release is currently going through Apple's approval process.

While we wait for the version, is there ANY workaround we can use so that we can connect to a second computer after attempting a disconnect from the first?

All, a new release is available.  The latest release for both the iOS client and the Windows streamer is 1.3.5.4.

The disconnect and reconnect now seems to be working, but the sound muting is buggy.  I believe the fix is as simple as checking first to see if the desktop computer's sound is currently muted.  For example, the first time I connect to the desktop, the sound mutes correctly (because the desktop sound wasn't muted when I connected).  When I disconnect and reconnect, the sound on the desktop UN-mutes because Splashtop Remote left the desktop muted when it disconnected.  Basically, Splashtop Remote is merely toggling the mute on my desktop, not actually muting the desktop, and it is not resetting the mute when it disconnects from the desktop.  It's not a big deal, but it did make me wonder why I was hearing music coming out of my home office.  Easy fix, no?

This is NOT fixed, I just got Splashtop for my iPad and computer a couple of days ago and this issue is driving me crazy.
