Why do I only see part of my computer screen?

Here are some suggestions you can try to resolve this:

  1. If the computer you are connecting to is a Windows 7, try enabling the Use Windows XP style DPI scaling checkbox shown below (Control Panel > Display > Set custom text size DPI).

  2. Splashtop Remote supports your computer's native display resolution.  Follow this guide:   How can I change the screen resolution? and set the Resolution to "Use the remote computer's native setting".

    note.gif  NOTE:  If the computer's native resolution is high, then the text fonts may be hard to read. If this is the case, try to change the font size to 100% or larger, to aid reading on your tablet/phone.
  3. If you chose to use a display resolution that is optimized on your tablet/phone (usually 1024 x 768), please refer to the same guide as on Step 2 ( How can I change the screen resolution? ).

    note.gif  NOTE:  With this setting, your computer resolution will be scaled down during a remote-connected session, and will automatically be restored to the original resolution when disconnected. 
  4. If you are still having problems, you may want to delete the computer profile saved on the tablet/phone and reconnect with a newly-created profile.  To remove a computer that you no longer use, please refer to the guide: How do I delete a computer that I no longer use?

If you are running with Win7, please try the following suggestions:

  1. if you are using Aero theme, the option of "Custom DPI setting"(like above screenshot) will be enabled,  please check it and try to select different scaling size, i.e. 100%, 125%, 150% to see if there's any difference
  2. if you are not using Aero theme, the option of "Custom DPI setting" will be disabled, but you still can change some different scaling size to see if there's any difference. Generally, 100% or 125% should be good to Splashtop Remote.

How to check if you are using Aero Theme?

Please check from Control Panel:

Control Panel-> Appearance and Personalization-> Personalization

There will be 3 options in it:

  • My themes
  • Aero themes
  • Basic and High Contrast themes

samsung galaxy tab 7 plus resolution is 1024 x 600, and i think that's why i can't see the bottom of my computer's screen? impossible to use without a Start menu, task bar and so on :/

Technically, I can see the "full screen" of my streaming computer, but it's squeezed in and has black bars on both the left and right sides. I've tried all of the steps above. Any other suggestions I should try? I'm using a Dell Latitude D630 laptop to connect remotely. Thanks!

Nevermind I fixed it!!! My streaming computer has dual monitors. I set both of their resolutions to my laptop's resolution, then changed the Splashtop setting to "Native..." and VOILA!! PERFECTION! YAY!! :o)

What's the version of Mac Streamer you are using? Did you install our virtual drive from Streamer/Settings/Advanced settings/Install driver button?

I am using the latest version of the Mac Streamer as of today and have the same problem! Only 2/3 of the screen shows on iPad, iPhone, and Windows client. Very unsable. And yes, I installed the Vritual Screen Driver (so I could wakeup the computer remotely correctly-which works). Not to mention my Mac is constantly crashing (macBook pro, 10.7.2) when I login. totally useless. Unless this stuff gets fixed fast I'm going back to LogMeIn.
