Firewall Settings for Splashtop Remote - WEBROOT

1.   Launch the WEBROOT SecureAnywhere software.

2.  Open the PC Security tab, then select Firewall in the left sidebar.  In the Firewall options, click View Network Applications as indicated below.

3.  Make sure all the applications related to Splashtop are indicated as “allowed” in the Allow column.

This will include the following files:

  • Dataproxy.exe (only necessary if still using Internet Discover feature)
  • spupnp.exe (only necessary if still using Internet Discover feature)
  • SRFeature.exe
  • SRLogin.exe (no longer exists in ver. 2.x and later)
  • SRServer.exe
  • SRUpdate.exe

4.   Open the System Tools tab, then select System Control in the left sidebar.  Click the Start button under “Control Active Processes"

5.  Make sure all the Active Processes related to Splashtop are indicated as “allowed” in the Allow column.

This will include the following files:

  • Dataproxy.exe (only necessary if still using Internet Discover feature)
  • spupnp.exe (only necessary if still using Internet Discover feature)
  • SRFeature.exe
  • SRLogin.exe (no longer exists in ver. 2.x and later)
  • SRServer.exe
  • SRUpdate.exe

 

Depending on various conditions, perhaps not all of the processes will be listed at the same time.

6.  Log out of your Splashtop account on both the Streamer side and the Client side, and wait for 30 seconds.  Then log in again.
