Once you have installed and started Splashtop Remote Streamer on your computer, you can launch Splashtop Remote on your iPad, and your computer should automatically show up in the list of available computers. This step may take up to half a minute, depending on your network. Simply tap the name (or icon) of the computer in the list to which you want to connect. You will be prompted for your password. You can later store it so that you do not need to enter it every time. To do that, click on the arrow button next to the computer name before initiating a connection.
The first time you remote-connect, a Hints screen will display, telling you what gestures can be used during the Splashtop Remote session. After you close the Hints screen, you will see that the remote screen is now mirrored to your iPad screen. You can control the remote computer and interact with it. Everything you do on the iPad screen will be mirrored to the remote computer screen, or vice-versa. The sound will be muted on the computer, and will only play on the iPad.
