Internet Discovery (gtalk) support is planned for the upcoming normal release. 0 Tim Pease June 25, 2011 02:25 So then why can't I log in remotely to my Mac? I'm having the same problem as everyone else. My firewall is off and the app works within the home network. This is frustration beyond belief. I have a new employer who requires me to be able to remotely log into my Mac and I assured them I would be able to do that with your app. Now I look like a fool. Thanks a lot. 0 Malte Andersen June 25, 2011 11:36 I can't find this update in the Danish/European App Store? Has it been approved? 0 Michael Dalton June 26, 2011 16:02 Having same issues. Can no longer connect via outside network since update. 0 Carl Adamson June 27, 2011 18:56 Since installing 184.108.40.206 on my iMac my ipad 1 will not even locate my Mac on my local wireless network. It was working perfectly before. I won't be so quick to update in the future (if I ever get this working). When I enter manually my IP it creates the link to it but says it cannot connect to that computer. When I try to access my mac via my google account it can't find anything there either. It also worked just fine before the update. Why rush these things out the door just to be on the iPad2 wave? I would appreciate the possibility of downgrading to working versions. Thanks for any help you can give me. 0 Victor (Splashtop) June 27, 2011 20:35 Hi All, When you updated the Mac Streamer to 220.127.116.11, do you also have the latest client? For ipad, it should be 18.104.22.168? @Malte, this is a Mac Streamer update, not an app update. You can find this streamer update on our streamer download page. http://www.splashtop.com/remote/download?from=product 0 TA June 27, 2011 20:59 Since installing 22.214.171.124 it often happens that the streamer doesn't start automatically after starting the mac. Sometimes the software no longer responds at all. 0 Carl Adamson June 27, 2011 21:50 I have installed the most recent update of Splashtop on my iPad 1. It still cannot find my iMac running server 126.96.36.199. However the version running on my iPhone4 finds the iMac and appears to work just fine. I reinstalled an older version on my iPad just to try it and it gave the same results as the most recent update. I now have the most recent versions of everything on both server and iPad and they don't find each other. The version on the iPhone that does work is not the most recent. You can understand why I'm not too excited about upgrading it. I rebooted the iPad but that made no difference. Since the iPhone works the problem is in the iPad somewhere but I don't know anything else to try. Can you help? 0 Victor (Splashtop) June 27, 2011 22:01 @Carl, One thing to try is to close all running apps on the ipad. Double click on the home button and close all the running apps. If they are using up too much of the memory there is a connection issue. If the problem still persists, please open a ticket: http://support-remote.splashtop.com/requests/new @TA, might want to try an uninstall and re-install if you have not already. 0 Carl Adamson June 28, 2011 20:27 i stopped all running apps and rbooted. ipad still cant find my mac runnining currennt server. i have deleted and reinstalled several times. iphone app works just fine. there is a bug in the app. please fix it. 0 E June 28, 2011 21:03 reinstalled latest mac streamer and android update. does not work with xoom. (worked consistently before update) 0 Michael Dalton June 29, 2011 14:20 Finally got it to work again. I had to delete my port forward settings and add them again. Don't know why, but it worked. 0 Charles Watts June 29, 2011 20:04 It plain just doesn't work anymore. And if you delete to go back to an older version, it still doesn't work. It doesn't even find a connection. I know that it isn't a flaw with the computer or app, because if I login to parallels which runs windows xp, I can connect via the new internet discovery. Shame :( I wish I could still login to my mac. Sigh 0 Greg Shaw July 02, 2011 03:39 I can't connect. I have downloaded all current versions - iPad2 MacBookPro latest OSX . Any one else have this problem? 0 Jim Abraham July 04, 2011 05:20 As of now I realize that for the Mac Streamer, the Internet Discovery option hasn't been enabled. I believe that this is a basic requirement for a remote desktop application, irrespective of which platform (Mac/PC) one uses. Request the team to enable this option soon. 0 Greg Shaw July 04, 2011 06:01 Jim, what "Internet Discovery option"? Where is this? Greg 0 Jim Abraham July 04, 2011 14:04 Internet discovery option uses the google credentials to allow iPad to connect to a remote system through the internet. Currently this option is available only for the window's streamer. So Mac users cannot remote connect to a mac system from the internet. Currently I'm limited to connect to my Mac only through my LAN. So it's doesnt serve the basic purpose. I need to connect to my Mac (at home) from school. 0 xiaoyang August 02, 2016 09:53 christian louboutin 20 Please sign in to leave a comment.
